Happy Home Project

Pink Mountain Travel & Tours is linked directly to the work of Nepal’s LGBT human rights movement that seek the further empowerment of the LGBT community up to the level known and enjoyed by many of our brothers and sisters in the West.

To date, in comparison to Western and other international lands which have openly gay commercial orientated social scenes, through gay/LGBT clubs, bars and other social venues, Nepal does not have a distinct and visible ‘gay / LGBT scene.’

Nepal’s LGBT Human Rights Movement, has assigned Pink Mountain Travels & Tours to be the only official organisation to initiate the creation of Nepal’s first openly gay social and cultural venue. The ‘Happy Home’ bar-cafe/restaurant/LGBT cultural venue is therefore being developed, and will be launched later in 2015. This historic initiative will see a venue created in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu, where international LGBT visitors to Nepal are greatly welcome to visit as honoured guests.

Happy Home is therefore intended to be an international- local LGBT community social and cultural venue that helps to raise Nepal to the level of being southern Asia’s most important LGBT friendly nation, and develop its profile in the West to an extent that can by 2017 equal some east Asian nations that have long established international-friendly openly gay/LGBT social venue scenes.
